With the recent hurricane situation to have hit Florida, funds are needed in various communities to help rebuild the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. I have decided to help one of these communities by offering a limited edition print titled EMPATHY as a way of contributing. Part of the proceeds from the sales of this print will go to Youth Haven. This non-profit Florida-based emergency children’s shelter organization, offers a safe harbor for traumatized, abused, neglected, and homeless children. Empathy is a sugar-lift open bite, aqua tint etching, printed on BFK Rives paper and layered with an additional, thin sheet of light pink Gampi Chine Collé. This layering technique lends a beautiful, soft sheen to the finished work. The color pink symbolizes the universal color of Love.
